Tuning

The E13th tuning is designed with a triadic approach and has taken me many years of study to find what works and what doesn’t.

E13#9/F Tuning is the most versatile of all the tunings I have encountered but also one of the most difficult to master. Its layout feels familiar to an E9 pedal steel or a standard C6th but more in depth study will only truly reveal its versatility. In its most complete form would require 12/13 strings however its core tuning versatility can be achieved with 8/10 strings as well.

As with every change I give credit to those that inspire its evolution in my E13. Some that inspire my logical changes may not even realise that it brought about single/multiple string changes. So thanks, Morrell, Leon McAuliffe, Bill Hatcher, Reece Anderson, Bill Leavitt, Dom Franco, Mike Neer, Nate Hoefer, And Myself.
